It’s Back!

Wow, three hours of “Lost.”  I’m pumped.  Some questions answered, many remain.  Can’t wait until next week.  Tonight’s shows went by way too fast.  One thing I have to say is that Sawyer still looks fine.  I don’t want to say too much in case you have not watched it yet.  Let me know how you liked the first week back.  Happy watching everyone.

It’s a good day when……..

You know it’s a good day when all your kids (and grandchild) show up at church on the same Sunday.  In our family that is very rare considering one son is a fire-fighter, one is in the military and the other works for the police dept.  Today was an exception.  They were all there and we all sat together.  I’m not going to say I am boasting but there was a certain sense of pride evident as I looked on at them all setting there with wives and girlfriend.  We are becoming a fairly large group and that feels good.  I hope this year will bring many more “good days.”

You’re never too old!

Hooray…Bridge the Gap is back!  We started back up after a few weeks off for the holidays.  The break was nice but I’ve missed our weekly meetings.  You have to understand, this group challenges me and keeps me young, if that’s really possible.

Tonight in all our chaos I learned a new term.  It’s one of those “younger set” terms.  The word was Emo.  It’s sort of like geek or goth but has it’s own meaning.  I never knew.  I’m glad to know that your never too old to learn and my group loves teaching me.  I guess that’s the cool part about us, teaching works both ways.  Thanks guys.

Back to Normal

We spent the entire day today getting the Christmas decorations down.  The only difficult thing about decorating so much is the tearing it all down.  But, the task is complete.  We had to do a lot more re-arranging than normal.  We got a new sofa and love seat from our boys before Christmas and needed to work everything into place.  We are so glad to get rid of the old blue sofa.  Our new ones are cozy and comfortable.  I still need to get all the pictures back out and a few nick-knacks but that will be done tomorrow.

I’ll miss all the Christmas stuff.  I so enjoy all the lights on the tree and garlands.  It makes the house feel magical.  I’ll miss the music too.  I love all the Christmas music.  But away it goes for another year.

I wish everyone a very Happy New Year.  I hope all you do is blessed.  I wish you all happiness, health, and friendship.  :)
