Reunion

What a memorable day today has been.  For the first time in many years my mom and all her siblings were able to be together.  It was a sweet reunion for them.  Even though my mom keeps reminding us that we keep saying “this might be the last time that y’all are all together” and rolls her eyes, it really could be.  Life is fragile and one never knows.  Of course she knows that better than any of them as she lost her first husband, my dad, over 29 years ago.  The first one of the siblings to lose a spouse.  We have learned to cherish the time we have with family and seize the moments as they come.  What sweet memories for all of us today as mom’s house was full of chatter, full of memories past and full of love.  Every home should experience that at least once.  Here’s mom and my aunt and uncles….

Belinda, I think this is great. I think we all did have a good time. It was sad this morning when we put John and Gayle on the plane to go home. It is a little lonesome today. Tommy is putting in a motor for Barbara Nolley and I am washing and redoing their bed.
Sorry you and Steve did not get to eat with us last night. We all had a good time.
Thanks for putting the photos on Aunt Bea’s Corner. Love you a bunch, MOM!

GREAT PHOTOS……Yes, life is fragile and no one has a crystal ball, but hopefully this will be the beginning of fun times in Texas for my folks. Maybe they had such a good time my dad would be willing to come back. Thanks for the pictures, looks like everyone had a great time.

Just like you, I lost my dad back in 2001 and now I know what your family went through. My mom has went through a lot in the years he past and I give a GREAT BIG thank to my uncles and aunts for being there and what they have dont for us. Family is very important and I my self need to be in contact with them more. Again I think you, you have done a wonderful job with this web site. Keep us posted with any new up-dates. Belinda, It is so nice to see all the siblings together again. The last time was at my mom & dad’s anniversary party. How time flies and so many things change in such a short time as you well know. It was great that John and Gayle could make the trip this time. How special that made it to have them all together in their home town. I wish I could have been there for all the laughs because I know there were many. I so remember you, Janet, Linda and I last time we were together laughing until we cried sitting out in the car in front of the church. I still get a smile on my face when I think of that moment. Love Dianne

    Belinda,
Nice job on the photos! Looks as though everyone had a great time and I am glad that the brothers and sisters were all together again. Hopefully, it will be something that they try to do every year. Love Gail

    Belinda,
These are great pictures, so glad all the siblings were able to be together again. I as Dianne have many enjoyable moments remembering the laughs we shared not only in the car in front of the church, but everytime I pass a Waffle House!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope we can have another reunion in the near future with all of us.
