Aunt Bea’s Corner

Wife, mom, mother-in-law, brand new grandmother, friend, teacher, hard worker, floral designer.  That’s me.  I’ve been married to the most wonderful man for 33 years now.  We have three wonderful sons.  I am a grandmother for the first time as of September 18, 2008.  He is the most precious baby in the world.  If you don’t believe me just ask his parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts and uncles.  They’ll tell you.  I work for a local florist as a designer and have been with them for three years now. 

I teach a bible study every Sunday morning to a terrific group of singles called “The Bridge.”  I’ve known most of them since they were born or since they were very young.  I’ve attended the same church for 26 years now.  I love the Lord and don’t mind telling you what He’s done for me. 

I’m a melanoma cancer survivor.  (1 year now)  So, WEAR YOUR SUNSCREEN.  I can’t stress that enough. 

I love reading christian romance novels.  Can’t get enough of ‘em.  I also love watching girly, feel good, happily ever after movies.  Sorry guys.  I can’t help it.  The other thing I enjoy doing is stamping.  I don’t have as much time for that as I used to.  That makes me sad.  I do hope someday to be able to spend more time at it again. 

If I could impart any wisdom on to anyone at all it would be to pray about everything you do, pray big, and pray until something happens (PUSH).  My favorite scripture passage is found in Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.”  I don’t know about you but I need all the straightening out I can get.  It’s so comforting to me to be able to trust Somebody else for all I need.
